12 avril 2019 - FARE was at the ACS Meeting in Orlando

The American Chemical Society organises twice a year an international meeting on all topics related to chemistry. The spring meeting happened last week in Orlando, Florida.

This meeting was an opportunity for several scientists from CEPIA labs at INRA (BIA in Nantes, IATE in Montpellier, FARE in Reims) to present their results in particular in the "Cellulose and Renewable Materials" division. FARE was in charge of the organisation of a symposium named "Fluorescence Techniques Applied to Lignocellulose Characterization" together with scientists from SCION in New-Zealand, Plant Science Centre in Umea, Sweden, laboratory INRA-BIA in Nantes and laboratory UGSF CNRS / University of Lille. This symposium was dedicated to spectral and fluorescence microscopy techniques applied to lignocellulose characterization in planta or in materials. This symposium gathered international scientists interested in fluorescence approaches and was a relevant forum to show advantages of these techniques and on-going developments.
